Fellowship + Ministry
At its core, RPC is a community striving to follow Jesus Christ. We hold a diversity of views on religion, politics, and almost everything else, and while we don’t always agree (how boring would that be?) we love, pray and care for one another. Here’s how:
Sunday Morning Small Group, 9:15 AM
Led by both the pastor and members of the group, conversational in nature, addressing a wide variety of topics, but always grounded in scripture.
Prayer Team | Congregational Care + Fellowship Ministries
The Prayer and Congregational Care Teams minister to the RPC family by collecting and sharing prayer concerns and ministering to the needs of the RPC community via frequent check-ins, a card ministry and coordinating social functions (which most often involve food).
Mission Wednesdays
Launched in 2023, this new ministry by the women of the church gathers at RPC on the first Wednesday of every month to work on mission projects, to fellowship and enjoy lunch. Currently, the group is tying blankets, which are distributed to those in need through other organizations including the YWCA, to fellowship, and to share lunch. No need to know how to sew…if you can tie your shoes, you can tie a blanket!
There are also opportunities to share your special talents and engage your particular interests, by getting involved in the several ministries of the church, including Foundations, Missions, Outreach, Stewardship and Worship.
Our Mission
We believe authentic Christianity involves being the hands and feet of God and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed. At RPC we feel a particular calling through volunteerism and financial contributions to support organizations that work for reconciliation and justice around the world and in our community.
Additionally, RPC supports these organizations by collecting special offerings at various times throughout the year:
-
First Light – Donations of food and supplies
-
Oak Mountain Mission Ministries – “Campaigns” at Advent and Pentecost
